Pastell
Since we moved to a small town a few months ago, we've subscribed to the local newspaper. The town is so small that if some kids have a classroom project or do some charity work -- actually if anyone does anything at all -- it makes the front page. So I'm constantly seeing lots of first names. It's a feast for a name lover!Anyway the other day Pastell ln made the news. In her case it's not the greatest. She is a suspect in some crimes and apparently was hanging out with some bad boys. Pastell is in her 20s.What do you think of Pastell?Usually I'm a traditionalist but I'm quite taken with it.

Not sure about Pastell but I have heard of Pascalle which I actually like. Although ironically Pascalle was a character on Outrageous Fortune as the oldest daughter of the West family (they were criminals).

I think I'm sort of attracted to it in the way I'm attracted to Pascal / Pascale (both in sound and in Easter colors!), but overall I think it's silly.

The double L makes it seem much namier. Pastel would annoy me but Pastell seems pleasantly eccentric. It's not really my style though.

Sounds ridiculous to me. Does she have a sibling named Primary? Or Bold?

I like it more than Paisley, at least, but the 'paste' part sticks out to me in a negative way.

I can't say I like it at all. It just reminds me of Easter colors and art supplies!

Ever heard of Blue, Phoenix, Scarlett, Violet or Chrimson?

Yes to all except Chrimson.

It's the Swedish word for pastel, so to me it's equivalent to naming a child Crayon or Acrylic...
