Jonathan
Possibly as a result of having recently acquired a friend by this name, it's really grown on me recently. I guess the Bible character is kind of cool as well, who doesn't need a good friend?

I like it a lot. I have a cousin with the name and it's just pleasant sounding and friendly.
While I think the occasional "Jon" nickname is unavoidable, every Jonathan I have known has predominantly gone by their full name with Jono being the usual casual nickname.

Yeah, I don't mind the name at all. You really don't see or hear it on little boys anymore, well not in Australia anyway.
I really like Jonathan, probably mostly because of the Bible character. I love it as a MN =)
I love it. I find it very handsome and friendly. :)
Jonathan started growing on my a few months ago. I think it's a nice name with a friendly vibe.
Jonathan is great. As nice as John but nicer, less plain. And the story about David and Jonathan is one of the nicest in the Bible.
Perfectly respectable. I know some pretty good Jonathans. I also like Joseph, which gives me the same comfortable feeling.
It always makes me think of the time when I was a child and I asked my mother about my brother's name. His name was John nn Johnny. I asked her, "Mommy, is Johnny's name really Jonathan?" And she said, "No, of course not! I hate that name!"
So there was one negative opinion, lol. I actually like it more than I like John, it's got more character and is more interesting, IMO. The only Jonathan I've known is called Jon and does not want to be called Jonathan. I think it's worth bearing in mind that many Jonathans must be called Jon which sounds just like boring (to me) old John.
