Xiaoyan and Chinese names
I'm naming a character and she's Chinese. So far, I like the name Xiaoyan for her.
I was wondering if anyone knew if 小艳 or 晓艳 was more common.
I also have no idea what sounds good in Chinese and am having a very difficult time choosing a surname because I want it to sound and look good to native Chinese speakers.
So, if anyone speaks or Chinese or knows a lot about Chinese names I'd really appreciate a response ! Thanks !

I think 小艳 might be better, 小 is used in many Chinese women's names.
