I have a soft spot for Enid - even though someone told me once that it reminded them of a bug. There's something wonderfully offbeat about the name Enid.Edith is kind of dated, and I'm not really big on names that end with -th (other than Elisabeth, and maybe Elspeth). But the nickname Edie is cute.Edna, however... I really, really dislike. I can't imagine it on a child. It almost sounds bitter. For some reason Edna provides the mental image of a woman in her 50s who can't stop complaining about everybody, especially her own kids.
