Celebrity BA by default???
Mike "Rooster" McConaughey, brother of actor, Matthew McConaughey, named his newborn son after his favorite beer, Miller Lyte McConaughey. Rooster, a self-made Texas businessman, is obviously devoted to his brew saying as he tipped back his can of beer, "Liquidation ... that's a negative business terminology in most places. In West Texas, it's a positive." Yep, Rooster and Matt must have had a very special upbringing. ;-) They both share a great sense of humor, at any rate. While I don't love the new baby's name, at least Miller McConaughey doesn't sound too bad.ETA the link to the article. Rooster is indeed a character!

If my name was Miller Lyte, I'd change it; there's always that option when the kid grows up. In the meantime Miller McConaughey isn't that bad.

It's hilarious for sure, so part of me is amused. The other part of me says it's selfish to literally make your child a joke for the rest of his life. Miller is fine. Lyte might even fly. Miller Lyte just irks me as a realistic name. Though, I guess if your father is called Rooster, Miller might just fit right in with the family (naming) dynamic.

Product placement as a baby name is supremely lame.
I guess it's good his favorite beer isn't Schlitz or Dogfish Head.

It's so bad it sounds like a made up name to pull a joke on people.

Miller McConaughey doesn't sound bad at all. But Lyte?!

Yeah, I got a good chuckle at the thought of all the people who little Miller will encounter in his life when they realize his mn is Lyte! I can't believe the mother went along with this whole crazy idea. Having said that, I do like the alliteration of Miller McConaughey.

I think it's adorable. I love campy names. But then again, I'm not a very sensible person at all. If I were to have a baby boy (which I won't ever; never ever having any kids ever) I would name him Sprog, after the child in the 1979 Mad Max film, not joking. So, my opinion is definitely not grounded in much reality.
