Ekaterina
What do you think of it

I really like Ekaterina a lot although it does feel too foreign for my tastes. OTOH, I adore Katerina and came very close to using it with our Scottish surname! I loved it so much that I didn't care what people thought, lol. OTOH, there's something about the E in the front of Ekaterina that takes the name to another level for me.
It all depends on what you're looking for in a name. If you're looking for something more exotic with good nn potential (Katia, Katya), then Ekaterina might be the name for you.

I find it a bit strange. I find that the E sounds detached from the rest of the name. I teach a girl called Aikaterini and the "ai" part is just hard to say and makes the name a bit too long.
Katerina is lovely though :)

I like all forms of Katherine, but would not use any foreign (to me) form.
I love how whimsical it sounds and the feeling of it on the tongue is very tuneful. The staccato on the 'k' and 't' makes me happy. I also appreciate how feminine it is, yet it's not particularly soft or frilly.
