I'm sure I'd get used to it quickly if I knew one. It works, for sure. But it's not my thing, because of the "no" and because it's too randomwordish.
Considering it as a baby name, I think it's bad. Because I think of Chevy Nova (with the joke that in Spanish it means "it doesn't go"), and of exploding stars as a metaphor for fits of anger (someone I knew used to refer to people "going nova" when they were angered). Anyway, exploding stars are not the greatest thing to name someone after... kind of like naming someone Quasar. "New" is the very last meaning I think of. Also, there's the out-loud problem: "Come on, Nova" ... haha. That's all irrelevant but it's stuff I think of, that puts me off the name.
