Emmanuelle
I loved the name Emmanuelle when I was in late primary school/early high school and then I forgot all about it until recently.. Now I really love it again however I have a few issues with it.1) I don't really like any of the potential nicknames.. Emma, Emmy, Elle, Ella.. I kinda possibly don't mind Manny, but I don't know..
2) I don't think it really fits with potential siblings: Rufus, Barnaby, Theodora, DaphneSo my questions:
1) What nickname do you like for Emmanuelle?2) Does Emmanuelle fit with Rufus, Barnaby, Theodora & Daphne3) What middle name would you pair it with?4) Do you prefer Emmanuelle for a girl or Emmanuel for a boy? 5) Do you like it?

I just met an Emmanuelle from France who goes by "Manu." I think the name fits okay with Theodora and Daphne, but not Barnaby or Rufus. It's just so French that distinctly English usage names don't fit with it. I might try Alix, Adeline (French prn.), or Carine.I like it equally for girls and boys. I prefer the English rather than the French pronunciation for boys though. I do like it, it has a great flow.

1. Emmanuelle nn Elle is probably my fave.2. I don't think it fits with the other names you have in mind to use.3. I think a short, simple mn would be best.4. Obviously I much prefer Emmanuel.5. I'm not a big fan of the name tbh, but I do obviously love Emmanuel.

No, I don't like it at all. It's overblown to the point of bloatedness. Also, if you Google it, one of the first things you'll find out is there was/is a popular soft-porn franchise called Emmanuelle.
All the nns are bad too. Especially Manny/Mannie. What girl wants to be called that?

1) I like Emmy. Other ideas: Mem, Nell, Mel?2) Yes I think so.3) That's difficult! Emmanuelle Annora, Emmanuelle Arista, Emmanuelle Felicity, Emmanuelle Teresa, Emmanuelle Claudia4) I like both. I think it depends on the combo.5) I like it, although it has the drawback of seeming 'sexy' because of the series of movies. It is elegant and has plenty of nicknames.

1) Not every name needs a nn, but I'd go with Elle or Elie if I had to pick. Or maybe Nell?2) I think it goes well with Barnaby and Theodora.3) Emmanuelle Morgaine / Emmanuelle Morgana is the only thing coming to mind.4) I prefer Emmanuel (it's one of those names I love but would never use myself).5) I don't actively dislike the feminine version, but I don't love it, either...
