The personal first name is Hel-LAY-nuh to me. Although if it's your name, I'd pronounce your name the way you told me to.

Depends on where you're from and what version of English you're used to. I instinctively expect it to be HELena; If I'm speaking my second language, then it's heLEEana. Then there's heLAYna and heLEEna and no doubt plenty more. Not a big deal.

I used to really hate the "HEL-en-uh" pronunciation, but I've warmed to it recently. I still much prefer heh-LAY-nuh and huh-LEE-nah pronunciations, though (I'm so bad at writing my pronunciations, ha).
