Jason
What do you think of this name?Do you think it's stale?Question for British users: do you think it's chavvy? I heard several British people on Yahoo Answers saying that Jason is a chav name.

I like it. For the longest time I didn't because it felt too dated and made me think of a dumb jock teenager type guy. But then I met a little boy Jason (who is now a teenager, but a nice one) and it changed my perception. I don't think it's ready for a comeback anytime soon, but I at least think it's a nice name.

I like it, but it was too massively popular for me to ever consider using. Yes, it's stale. I've known so many guys named Jason.

I always viewed it somewhat neutrally, and maybe a little older as being from the generation before mine...at least until recently. I'm a huge fan of ancient history and mythology, so I can appreciate it as a classical name (even if the mythical Jason was a jerk to his wife). Moreover, it's the name of a very elegant and distinguished friend of mine, so the name sounds more that way than it ever did when I was younger.

I guess you can say that I'm a bit biased when it comes to this name as my brother bears it. My mother, when she was pregnant with him, which was her first child, had the name picked out from the gecko (If she was expecting a son) ,
I find the name itself to be average, practical and decent. Stale? No, not remotely.

I don't like it. It seems slightly stale, but mostly I just don't like the sound and look of it. It's a J name and I don't like a ton of J names.
