Huck?! Yuck!I'm sorry but I don't like this AT ALL! Anything that has an "uck" in it should not be used to name anyone! With the exception of "Chuck" as a nn for Charles -- but even that I'm not too crazy about! Sorry -- I don't care for Huck at all!

Sawyer or FinnI have to agree w/ Jacks and Array. This would inevitably be linked to both Twain's Huckleberry and, as Array put it, the F-bomb. Kids around him would not be able to resist. Sawyer and Finn are good alternatives. But if you really love it, go for it. Raise him to be himself. Tons of people tried to warn me off of Scarlett for my daughter, saying, among other things, that she would always be compared to the O'Hara, and that kids would call her Scarlett the Harlot in high school. Ridiculous fearmongering. I love her name, SHE loves her name, and no one ever calls her either O'Hara or Harlot.Huck would be a brave choice, and Huck would have to be a bold kid.

Huck rhymes with an unfortunate word. :( Also, if you're being true to the literary character, the full name was Huckleberry, which I do NOT recommend. :b Finn is much nicer.

Yes. And it does remind me of Huckelberry Finn. Ned Flat: Why are you acting like this?
Yakko: We're not acting. We really are like this.
---
Dracula: I am Count Dracula!
Yakko: Didn't you use to teach math on Sesame Street?
---
Yakko: Well it's that time again!
Dot: To make fun of the Disney Channel?

Perhaps my mind is in the gutter ... but it reminds me of the F-word. Honestly I'd go with Finn, which is terribly trendy but more useable imo._____________________________________________________________________Elinor

In theory, Huck's great. A cool literary character with a sharp, modern-sounding name? Awesome. In practice? He can never play the Name Game. Not only will everyone notice it's one letter away from the F-bomb, classmates will take advantage of that fact.If you really like it, I would look for the right first name and save it for the center spot.Array
