I don't mind it. It's a bit flighty, and I wouldn't want to be named it (and I don't think many boys would either), but I like the sound. There's something very crystalline and fragile about it. It sounds like it should be the name of a boat, or a dead kingdom or extinct culture... "the Caspians", you know. But that's probably because I've got the name all wrapped up with the Dawn Treader book in my mind.

My sister has talked about using Caspian before. She has wanted to name her future sons Dorian and Caspian for many years. (I laugh that both are characters that have been played by Ben Barnes.) At one point, I think she had Caspian Ross in mind. Not sure if that's still what she wants, but there's that idea.
