Re: WDYT of Amelia?
in reply to a message by Catherine N.
I love Amelia, especially as a sister to Sophia. It's an elegant eighteenth century sister pairing.
Amelia Catherine has long been a favorite. I also like Catherine Amelia, which, rhythmically is more in line with my other favorite female names (Alice Virginia, Charlotte Sophia, Elizabeth Anna), as I tend to prefer a first name that ends in a consonant followed by a middle name that ends with the 'a' vowel. Amelia is always a welcome ingredient for these combos, but I also love it for a first name.
I do not think Amélie superior to Amelia, and vastly prefer Émilie to Amélie.
