I have a character named Evgeniy (yev-GHEN-nee) and called Zhenya for short.
He is Russian and Ukrainian and about to gain custody of his younger siblings.
They are his half-siblings so the names don't have to go with Evgeniy.

He has his own children named Natalia "Natasha" and Valentyna "Valya" so those are out.
