Moon
Does Moon ever work as a name?

Only if her first name is Daphne and she lives in Seattle with Frasier.
I think it sounds cool, but I could never see it on a child at all.
Sure, why not?
Star and Sunny are acceptable so why not Moon?
I've toyed with it as a creative NN for Monroe.
If "bare butts" is the most negative association, well, that's sort of nothing right? I mean people still go by BJ, Dick, and Woody, and I find those much more "snicker worthy," especially since at least Moon has other, more immediate associations that the former don't. And I mean, Luna leads to lunatic but people apparently have no problem accepting that as a name at face value.

Maybe as a middle name, but Luna is much cuter.
not really
Perhaps for a surname. excessively silly as a first or middle

No. Never.
Everything Rox just said. Even as a surname, it's not one I'd fancy.
No, not really. Moon-faces, mooning people, Moon Pies, menstruation, Moon Unit, moonshine. I just really would not want to be called Moon.
My favourite name at age eight... A shameful period of name-loving, for me, my other favourites at that time (all for girls) were Phoenix, Silver, Apple and River. My tastes have certainly become more mainstream since then! However, I think it's be lovely as a surname. I know a girl named Jessie Ffion Hazell, with Hazell being the surname, and I definitely envy her very much!

No
Just remember that it's also when people pull down their trousers/pants to expose their butt!

I think it works as a middle name. I like it, to be honest, but it's definitely a GP.
It works as a middle name. It's too "space cadet" for a first name, IMO. But I could kinda get used to it if I knew someone named it.
No. If one must, use Luna, but never Moon. The "moo" makes it unattractive, I think. Too...cow-ish.
I like it as a surname, though.

No, for what I think is an obvious reason. It involves bare butts.
