For a girl, not a boy. NEVER A BOY.
WDYT?

I've only known male Morgans; so while I *know* it's a unisex name, whenever I read it my first impression is that the bearer is masculine.
Morgana, on the other hand, is my favorite female name.

I like it on a girl too.
oh I love it on a boy, but not a girl. I love Morgana for a girl
It's all boy to me - not entirely because of my Welsh 3x great grandfather! I've never met or seen a reference to a local female Morgan where I live.
And now, the question: and I know I'm being cheeky here.
How do you pronounce Billina?
Because, the wonderful first line of the Willoughby chant seems to need WILLina, which would make it BILLina. As with WIRfak and MIRfak. But I'd always heard it in my head as billEEna.

bill-EEN-a. I read Willina to sound like will-EEN-a, so it rhymes to me.
It's my name :-)
I know it gets a lot of hate being used on a girl, but I've always loved it being my name.
I consider Morgan to be a strong, spunky name for a girl.

I think it's ugly on a girl. So ugly. I like it a lot for a boy.
Well for me, Morgan is for a boy and NEVER for a girl!
I like it on either, but I prefer it on a girl (maybe because it reminds me a bit of Morag?). It actually sounds fairly masculine to me, but I like it as a stronger-sounding girls' name.
I've only known one Morgan, a boy I went to school with. So for me, it's a boy name.
I don't dislike it, though I'd never use it, so many names I like better.

To be honest, I don't like this name at all on either gender.
Prefer it on a boy, to be honest. Ugly on a girl, okay on a boy.
I like it pretty well. Makes me think of a redhead, I don't know why. Maybe because of a soap opera character from circa 1980. haha. It's kind of like Megan - only less cheery, more serious. The sound of it doesn't appeal enough to make it a favorite of mine.
I think it's unisex but on a guy it seems more uptight and surnamey and brooding.

I'm not a fan of Morgan for either gender as it reminds me of the words morgue & organ. It works better for a boy though.
In Sweden Morgan is almost exclusively a male name (there are thousands of male Morgans but only 12 female!) and I have the impression it has a bit of a "white trash" status.
For a girl...well, it wouldn't work very well here, but for a girl in an English-speaking family, why not?

Well call me crazy then
I see "Morgan" as a unisex name. Usuable on both a male and a female (its not strictly feminine yet its not strictly masculine at all) and trust me when I say that there isn't a whole lot of names I see as "unisex" the majority of names, I either see as being as a males name only or a females name only. But "Morgan" I can see working for both. I don't have a gender preference when it comes to the name.
I came acoss a few Morgan's in my life (mostly females) but I knew a few male Morgan's who's name suited them well, never gave them any
Problems.
The name is great on a girl. But also great on a boy as well.
Though I do find it kinda strange how I see "Morgan" as unisex but a similar name such as "Jordan" I don't. I prefer Jordan on a boy and HATE!!it on a girl. Me weird

Ok, I like this name a lot, and it's oddly, beautifully, magically unisex for me, because of this book I loved as a little kid called "Morgan Morning".
It's basically a story about a baby horse named Morgan that dies in a horrible accident and is reborn as a unicorn in the afterlife which is a really morbid story but I thought (and still think) it was the most beautiful book ever. Morgan the horse was a boy, but the book itself had a very feminine energy - it had a pink cover, and Morgan is shown as a little white unicorn with flowers and butterflies all around him, so the boy/girl imagery got all muddled up in my mind. I like that about it.
So anyways, I enjoy it as a girl name. It's got unicorns in it.

I actually do prefer it for a boy, tho--*brick'd*
:P Anyway, I like Morgan. It's one of the very few names that I actually like for both boys and girls. For girls, I love the Morgan le Fay association as I really like Arthurian legends. I think it's a strong choice of name that strikes a wonderful balance of masculinity and femininity.

It's okay. I think it has a nice sound but is very plain.
;(
I kind of like Morgane, though.

Hate it. Sounds ugly, heavy, stuffy and pompous.
Stuffy and pompous? Really? Most of the Morgans I have know have been middle-class and "average". :P
Ditto.
Sorry but I think it's terrible on a girl. It's always on a boy for me!
