I don't like it. It isn't the best of any world--not warm enough to be comfortable, not dignified enough to be sophisticated. It's really not my thing.
I met a Roland Maximilian once, and it kind of made me cringe. I can envision the intention behind a kind of silly, grand name, but it wasn't hitting the mark to me.
My mother had an uncle Roland who was born as Orlando before the family came to the U.S.
