Beatrix and Lisette
What do you think of Beatrix and Lisette? These two names have been on my mind the last few days and I would be interested to know what you think. Any combo suggestions?

I far prefer Beatrice to Beatrix. Lisette is very pretty indeed - the only Lisette I know is Dutch, so perhaps Beatrix with its aura of Dutch royalty might be a good partner. My daughter is Beatrice Elizabeth Anne, all family names; had they not happened, Beatrice Lucy would have been nice, or Beatrice Marianne or Beatrice Jane. Lisette rather floors me; perhaps Lisette Marie?

I hate Beatrice (looks like "beat rice") but can tolerate the spunkier prettier Beatrix - by contrast I really like Lisette

They sound like French sisters from a respectable family - like one that owns a vineyard that makes champagne...

Beatrix is so sweet, I like it a lot. I do prefer Beatrix to Beatrice. Lisette is not for me, I would much prefer Beatrix and Elizabeth. Just think of all the cute potential nn's!

I love, love, love Beatrix! One of my favourite names. I'd imagine Beatrix would be vintage, feisty, artistic, creative, and glamorous in a 1950s/60s film star type of way. The Beatrix Potter association is another reason I really like it, and although I'm not a huge fan of nns in general, I have an awesome character association with Trixie too (one name very few seem to like). Plus the meanings "She who brings happiness" or "voyager through life" are brilliant too. I have Beatrix Clara Elizabeth on my list, and also like:
Beatrix Rosalind
Beatrix Maeve
Beatrix Lyra
Beatrix Florence
Beatrix Elsie
Beatrix PippiI haven't really considered Lisette much (despite having other -ette/-etta names on my list, and several forms of Elizabeth) but I quite like it. I can definitely see a similar vintage charm to Beatrix, and I think they would make really good siblings.

Lisette Hermione

Lisette Isobel
Lisette Fleur
