Celebrity BA + astronomical names
Finnish TV-celebrity Tia Kiuru and her husband named their daughter Rigel Elina Aurora. Like it says in the database, Rigel is a star in the constellation Orion and also the the seventh brightest star in the night sky.
Personally, I prefer just Elina Aurora, but overall Rigel isn't that bad. We all know how crazy celebrity baby names tend to be and Rigel is quite tame compared to many others. Only thing that bothers me is probably the pronounciation: the English way (RI-jəl? RIE-jəl?) sounds more feminine to me than the Finnish way (RI-gel).
What do you think of Rigel? Have you come across other rare astronomical/astrological names and do you have any favorites among them?

Rigel is pronounced ry-GEL in English as well. I find it really unattractive, and it's not in the least bit feminine. I can't believe someone who likes frilly names like Elina and Aurora would name their daughter Rigel. Ick.
Rigel makes me think of Star Trek and the Simpsons before the actual real life star.
