Harris
I never realised Harris was actually a first name and not only a last name. I think I like it as a first name. It's a bit more sophisticated than Harry (which is a great nickname), but not as trendy as Harrison. What do you think? I think I'd actually consider using it.

There is a very funny kids' book by Gary Paulsen called "Harris and Me" wherein the narrator goes to spend the summer with his aunt and uncle and two cousins on a remote farm in Minnesota. Harris is the boy cousin and is full of mischief and mayhem.
That said, i don't like the name. It seems stiff and harsh somehow, and also a lot of people pronounce harass the same as Harris.
