Jade on a boy?
I really love the name Jade. Sometimes it seems a little underwhelming as a girls name, still nice though.
WDYTO it being a boys name? Maybe as a MN?

I knew a male Jade with a sister named Amber. He was a huge, pleasant lad, good at field athletics, who works in the family business as an auctioneer. He carried it off well, but perhaps if he'd been a weedy geek his life might have been needlessly complicated. Who knows? In a world bulging with female Jameses, a male Jade seems positively mainstream.
As a mn for a boy, ok, as a fn, no thanks. I personally prefer it for a girl and think that because it is so popular for girls, it's best left as a mn for a boy.
I'm not wild about the name on either gender but, because it brings jewelry and carved sculptures/decor strongly to mind, I tend to feel it as more feminine. I realize it isn't logical, but there it is.
Depends how popular it is for girls where you are atm. I went to university with a male Jade, so it can be done, and I don't see why it shouldn't be unisex.
I agree that Jade is entirely underwhelming for a girl, even a little drab, and I particularly loathe seeing it as a middle name. I infinitely prefer it for a boy, though not enough to consider it a favourite, and I have seen it used as such on more than one occasion. Jade Elias is particularly appealing to me right now.
I love it!
It's never sounded overly feminine to me anyway. I love Sage on a boy too :)
