I'm so tired of the surname as fn trend. Well, that's not true. I never really liked it in the first place.
If a surname is from your own family tree and you want to pass down the heritage, then that is a beautiful tradition. I can certainly understand. It's a shame that recent fad for borrowing other people's heritage has watered down the proactice. I don't understand why people opening up a telephone book and pick out a name randomly. Where's the meaning in that? Yes, I know the sounds might be pleasing to their ears. But that isn't enough for me when it comes to surnames.

I will say that if you do use it, for any reason you choose, I do find the nn Sully very cute.
