Its one of those dusty clunky names that I adore. It's incredibly bold and definitely mature. However, I find those names refreshing right now...
Plus, it's a strong traditional name as well. I mean, people are using Noah and Isaac still... why not Solomon?
Of course it's popularity is akin to using Walter, Simon or Roger today... but that doesn't make it any less of a statement name... and an awesome one at that.
