Never thought it would actually happen.

Let me know where I can send her a sympathy card. Honestly, who wants to be called Nutmeg? Who wants Nut as a big part of their name?
When I was very young I remember reading a cousin's magazine, some kind of Christian teen magazine, and there was a shorty story in it about an American girl whose family took in a Cambodian? Vietnamese? refugee girl about her age, and the narrator was jealous because this new girl was getting all the attention. Anyway, the little brother nicknamed the new girl Nutmeg because he thought she was just that color. At first the parents scolded him, but Nutmeg somehow stuck.

Poor thing. I see so much teasing potential in Nutmeg.
Awwwww. What a great name for a pet. Pretty silly on a girl though.
