I happen to love Irene. It contains a lot of elements that I adore in names: its the name of a goddess but its not extremely unusual, it's Victorian but its not insanely popular, its a name that ages well and its a name that doesn't need a nickname or would be difficult for a child to have. I think its wonderful!
