Re: Top Ten for March

If you don't mind me asking, why can't you use Sylvie and Alba? Is there a general association I'm missing? I like them both as well.

No, it's a personal association that would be completely irrelevant to anyone else. It's a couple I know quite closely whose names are variants of Sylvie and Alba. Either one alone is going to look like I've named my kid after one of them, which I wouldn't be, both were favourites before I even met them, but to use both would be way too much, and everyone would know it.
So unless you know the same couple I do, it's not a problem!

I was wondering if I had missed some association somewhere that I should have known about. I'm glad I didn't.
That's a tough situation about the names. I'm sorry you can't eventually use both!

Nope, you're all good to go :)
I'm ok with it. I'm more bummed about the fact that my mum used Oscar for her cat. It was the one boys name I could actually see myself using, but we can't have an Oscar-the-person and Oscar-the-cat in the same family.
Also I can't use Xanthe and Felix because I used to babysit siblings named that. One is a coincidence, two is a copycat. It's just the way it works out!
