It's pretty. I primarily see it as a feminization of Karim.... kind of like people see Johna as a guy name with an -a versus how they see Danielle as a girls name and not just the female version of Daniel. If that makes sense.
It's certainly an interesting name both visually and by sound, and it's a strong and solid choice. I don't know that I would use it myself because it lacks something... maybe it needs more frill or sophistication, I don't know what.
In any case, it's obviously usable and recognizable... but I feel like there are far more interesting options out there than Karima.
