How do you pronounce Aveline?
Line like in Caroline?
Or leen as is Eileen?
Thank you!

AV-e-leen
I'm quite pleased to see most people pronounce it the same way! I always anticipated that most people would say ""AVA-line"
I think it's beautiful! I love Abilene too but wouldn't be one to reference a Texan town.

Lol! Thanks!
Ave-line
I say "leen," but I'm always ready to adapt to the bearer's preference when it comes to names that end in -line.
My first inclination is to say AH-vuh-leen, but if I met something with the name I'd ask them how to say it.
'AV-uh-leen' was my first assumption.
In English: Just as it says on this site.
In my native Danish: a-ve-LEE-nuh.
In my native Danish: a-ve-LEE-nuh.
leen. Av-uh-leen.
Same here.
I pronounce it av-ə-LEEN but I've also heard AY-və-leen (similar to Abilene).
Line, like in Caroline.
A-veh-leen (with the short a sound)
leen as in Eileen.
Ay-veh-leen. I think it's gorgeous.
AV-eh-leen
Leen like Eileen.
AV-a-leen.
It's a very nice name. I love how medieval it sounds.

I think you can pronounce it multiple ways.
My first instinct is usually to say A (as in cat) AV-uh-leen, but then I always second (and triple) guess myself. My second instinct is to say AYVA-line. But AYVA-leen is also used.
Moral of my personal story: don't use this name! haha

Lol! I know-I'm more confused now! Will cross it off the list!
