I prefer Marian on a girl and Marion on a boy, though I like Marian on a boy too just because I like the way it looks better. In general I like the name itself much better for a boy too. It's very handsome and gently friendly. Swoon.

I like both of these names and the medieval vibe they have. If I had to choose just one of them, it would be Marion: somehow it seems more unique to me. Marian is nice and pretty as well, but I think I prefer Marianne over it.
