Gabriel replaced Anthony as my new favorite boy name! To bad my sister Nadine already took Gabriel for her son, or else I would use it in a heartbeat. What's your opinion?

Also, can you think of an alternative nickname besides "Gabe" and "Gabby"?

I adore Gabriel and would be more likely to call him by the entire name. Sorry, I can't think of another nn other than Gabe.

Do you think your sister would mind if you used it as a mn? I know my sister wouldn't mind such a thing, but everyone's different.

I've always wanted to like Gabriel because, you know, the angel. But I just haven't been able to. It feels whiney to me. Shrug.

I would prefer it without any nicknames, I think. Any I've known have gone by Gabe.

I love the name Gabriel. I'd consider using it if I didn't dislike Gabe so much. I'm not sure about other nicknames...Ree? Eli? Grey/Gray? The last two are kind of a stretch.
