I imagine a really short, petite mousy looking girl. Not beautiful, but not ugly. She has thin, chestnut colored hair to her shoulders. She is very quiet and shy and loves to read and write, especially poetry.

I disagree with everyone... I picture a shy, rather plump girl, with blonde hair. Nice, but never is really confident enough to share her ideas when someone says 'Elise'.

I think ultra feminine woman with possibly helmet hair (or very controlled hair, anyway), who is a bit prim and uptight.

I have a hard time separating the name from the mom on Family Ties. So I see an attractive woman, probably blond, successful, with a sense of humor.

Pretty, sophisticated, and very feminine (a girly girl).

Someone sophisticated. A pretty brunette with curly hair and blue eyes comes to my mind when I hear this name. I don't know why tho. *shrugs* 8-)
