Re: Linnea, Madeleine or Marie?

I guess I find Marie to be very boring and common. Unless it's used for double names like Anne Marie or Carol Marie or Claire Marie, etc... Maybe Lynn Marie?
I'm a little biased against Marie because I grew up knowing quite a few Marie's my age and older and they were all not very nice people. All the double name Marie's I knew were super sweet awesome people. Truly I've liked all the double name people I've met. I know not all Marie's suck but in my experience all the ones I've gotten to know have. One I knew was a bully and a thief and another was a great aunt who betrayed the entire family for money.
My favorite combo I came up with in the past is Estelle Marie. It is so fun but sophisticated. I have no plans to use it so if you like it don't feel like you're stealing my combo. ;D
I like Linnea and Madeleine. You can't go wrong choosing either of them. Both seem very sophisticated and classy.
Linn or Linnie could be a nn for both - depending on how you pronounce Madeleine.
You know I actually meet more Marie's than I do Madeleine's for my age group. Just looked at the numbers and for my age group Marie was more popular than the all Madeleine spellings combined for my birth year. I was born when Marie had just started falling in popularity again and the spelling Madeleine had just started to be in the top 1,000. Mary and Maria are more common in my age group than Marie but I've met more Marie's my age than Maria's or Mary's.
