Jade Jagger's daughter Assisi (who is also Mick Jagger's granddaughter) welcomed a daughter named Ezra Key.
On the other hand, Jade's own baby, a son, is named Ray Emmanuel. (Ray is about a month younger than his niece.)
Jade's son's name is decent, but her granddaughter's name is awful. Ezra is a Biblical boys' name. It's not feminine at all.

I like Ezra on a girl. I prefer it on a boy, yes, but I don't think it's strange to use on a girl. I knew a girl called Esra once. Key is okay, it sounds good with Esra.
I actually dislike Ray Emmanuel a lot. Ray always makes me think of stingrays, the sun, and Billy Ray Cyrus. Emmanuel... it's a little pretentious in my opinion.
(oh and maybe you could express your opinion a bit gentler next time? You're making a statement: for example "her granddaughter's name IS awful" instead of an opinion: "I THINK her granddaughter's name is awful". Sorry if it's a language problem or if I'm being rude, I just thought I'd point it out.)

The difference is that Esra is actually feminine, whereas Ezra very much isn't.
Also, OP was stating an opinion (an opinion I happen to agree with, really) in the way most people do, and I'm really confused as to why you have an issue with it. If I'm going to say, "That dress is awful," I don't have to preface it with, "I think," and the same goes for my opinion on the weather, what happened on a television show I watch last night, and pretty much anything else.

Well, actually, Ezra seems to be a (rare-ish) Turkish girls' name*. And according to Turkish name sites, it seems to have a different etymology than Esra or masculine Ezra.
BTW, I'm not trying to contradict anyone or anything here, I just thought I'd use the opportunity to bring it up in the hope that someone more knowledgeable might chime in :)

Ezra is generally a boys' name in English. I highly doubt an English girl of English background would give her child a Turkish name.

I am very much aware of the fact that Ezra is exclusively a masculine name in English (which, by the way, is also the reason why I, personally, would never use it for a girl in an English-speaking environment).
However, that doesn't exclude the possibility that it is a legitimate girls' name elsewhere in the world. And I thought on a name board like this, why not bring it up? Regardless if this was the inspiration behind the choice (which, just like you, I highly doubt).

I remember posting in the past a to whether people thought Ezra was too feminine to use. Most people said they couldn't see it on anything but a boy, and other people said it was similar enough to Eliza, Emma, Izma, etc to look feminine.
