Norah
What do you think of this name?
I'm not interested in dropping the H, by the way. :P

I tried to name Miriam this, so obviously I love it.
I never liked Nora or Norah. It sounds so drab and blah, like a worn-down Irish maid, not even the sassy type with lots of personality.
I like it and I prefer it with the H. It's soft and pretty.
I used to like Nora, only this spelling. Norah looks awful to me. There' no need for the H, so to me it's just a creative spelling, just like Madisyn or Annah would be.
I don't really like Nora much these days anyway. I think it's a little boring, and a bit nicknamey. I far prefer something like Leonora nn Nora instead.

I've always liked it - not enough to use, but close. And I also enjoy the -h version.
When my daughter was tiny, she had a school reader which featured a family named Bone. Among the kiddies were twin baby daughters, always drawn in high chairs with bowls of food in front of them, wearing bibs which read, respectively, "Hi! I'm Laura" and "Hi! I'm Nora" - or perhaps Norah, I don't recall. Ghastly twinset, anyway.
From that day on, Daughter wanted to name a puppy Norah Bone, but reconsidered when we got our next dog. I rather regret Norah Bone.
As a human name, it seems perfectly doable and fresher than Laura (which I do prefer, though).
How do you account for it - short for Eleanor, short for Honora, just a name in its own right?

I like it. It has a classy, "worldly" vibe. I like it best with an 'h'; it feels more like a name on its own than a NN for Eleanor(a)
It's my 31 year olds "SIL's" name and I've heard it on younger and older people too. It seems pretty ageless, which is a plus for me.

I don't like it. Nora is ok, I don't dislike it but I don't mind it. The h makes it worse.
Love the H! :-)
It strikes me as very nice but at the same it's understated; like not in-your-face-frilly pretty. Just pretty.

I'm biased because it's my niece's name (with the H!) but I love it :)
Not a fan
It's too nicknamey and this spelling makes me want to say no-RAH.

LOVE IT!! It's easily high on my list. I have so much love & respect for it. It's soft, feminine, classic. A name that is sophisticated & ages well. It beats all of these trendy, modern\invented names that you constantly see now, any day. It's a name that will be around for a LONG time. Anyone saying that its an old lady's name is INSANE lol. Norah\Nora is NOT outdated. Far from it. It works on all ages & I wouldn't mind at all naming a future daughter of mine "Norah" but I do prefer the Nora spelling just out of preference. (:
I don't mind the Norah spelling at all. Just prefer the other one (:

Nora has grown on me since I used it on a chapter (I don't really chose character names accordingly to how much I like them, or at least not solely for that reason). I can't help feeling that the final H feels a bit pointless ;-)
Sorry, but it's the H that keeps me from liking it. It looks as pointless and wrong to me as it would in Barbarah or Jennah.
I don't like it. The H is actually what bothers me about it; I like Nora.
I guess even without the H the name is too nickname-y for me to see it as a full name.
