Lacy/Lacey

I like it in a GP kind of way, but it sounds stripperish/porny to me.
Personally I find it too cutesy, insubstatial and a bit dare I say it, downmarket. The only person I know with it is the actress Lacey Turner. It's quite popular in the UK at the moment though, along with a lot of other two syllable L names names e.g Lexie, Layla, Lily, Lola, Lucy, etc.
I can't imagine it on a boy, even if it's technically a surname. I've also never seen Lacy.

I don't like it. It reminds me of lacy underwear / lingerie etc.
I like it, but more as a GP than as a name I'd ever seriously consider. Lacey sounds smart and a little tough to me (a holdover from years of Cagney and Lacey, maybe), but brings all these soft lacy images to my mind. I like the contrast.
I spell it Lacey. Lacy is best left as an adjective for describing bras and panties.

I knew a bunch of girls named Lacey when I was a little kid. It and Lauren were like the middle-class names du jour of my hometown.
I really don't like it. It sounds too cutesy. I'm no fan of surnames as first names, but I prefer many surnames for girls over this one. Wilder, Whitfield, Romilly, these are guilty pleasures. No pleasure comes from Lacey :)

I think it's cute. Cuter than Casey and Stacy, but not quite as cute as Tracy, but less dated than either.
Lacey would be my spelling; Lacy is for curtains and underwear.

I prefer the spelling Lacey -- it looks more complete.
All I think of with this name is lingerie.

All I think is of an awkward conversation in which my grandma-in-law asks me what I think about her new doily and I pause before responding "um...it's very...lacey" sounding like I know and care exactly nothing about doilies.
This conversation never happened, but It's very easy to picture. :)
So, yeah, I really don't like the name because I get a girly-pink-all-things-frilly vibe from it. Which is just really not my style or personality.
That said, Lacy over Lacey.

I know a lovely female Lacey who makes me appreciate the name, but I, too, think of doilies.
