Anyway, I like Mia, but find it rather insubstantial (keep in mind that this is from someone who plans to call her kids Barbara, Magdalena and Sebastian).
It's quite popular where I live and I think it's a good choice for people who want a short, simple name to balance a long complicated last name, something like Mia Hadžihafisbegović or Mia Ottovordemgentschenfelde (yes, these are real last name).
