Celsa and Chelsa!
I recently came across the name Celsa and I have a friend named Chelsa (not Chelsea). I'd like to know your opinions of each! Celsa is originally pronounced like Selsa, it's Spanish. But I'm wondering what you think of it pronounced Kelsa?

Celsa makes me think of Celsius degrees and Chelsa looks like a longer name that has been cut off.
Celsa pronounced Kelsa...no, it simply doesn't work. It's like spelling Kevin Cevin or Catherine Chaterine. Everyone would mispronounce it.

Chelsa just looks like a typo for Chelsea, a name I have never liked.
Celsa makes me think of seltzer. Pronouncing it Kelsa seems very affected and contrived.

I like Chelsa slightly

I like the sound of Kelsa better than Celsa, but it sounds too much like seltzer and Selsun Blue, a shampoo for people with dandruff. Both Celsa and Chelsa look like misspellings of Chelsea. I'm not a fan of either.
