Re: Swedish August BAs
in reply to a message by Malin
I quite like Märta and Melker as a sibset.Um, is it bad that, to me, a sibset like Zacharias, Zebastian, Zmilla, Ztella and Zamuel has almost a comical element to it? Especially with Zacharias being the youngest? It's almost like the parents ran out of S-names that they could "creatively modernize" and then, with a big sigh, just made do with any old regular Z-name...

Haha, I thought the same thing about Zacharias being the only one with a Z name that actually is an Z name. (Sakarias is a common Swedish spelling as well, though, but both Zacharias, Zackarias and Zakarias are more common) There's also the fact that Sebastian, Smilla, Stella and Samuel all are or have been top 100 names, while Zacharias is less common. Zixten, Zimon or Zvante would have made more sense, somehow.
