Re: English girls' names 1250-1450 (G-I)

I'm naming my next kid, if it's a girl, Goldcorn. Do you think there's any teasing potential there?
In one of my favorite novels, which is set in England in medieval times, there is a character named Hawise. The novel is based upon the lives of real historical people, and this Hawise really existed. I remember how strange the name seemed when I first read the novel, and I've wondered about it, and how common it was back then. Before I read the body of your message, I wondered if it would be included on your list. Obviously it became obsolete.
