Winifred
I have really been crushing on the name Winifred the past couple of weeks.
I really like the sound, but I don't like the nickname Winnie very much. I've considered Freddie because I have a bit of a penchant for liking boy nicknames for girl nicknames when derived from feminine names (Jo from Josephine, Theo / Teddy / Ted from Theodora, Lou from Louise / Louisa, etc.) However, I'm just not digging Freddie. Part of what I like about Winifred is the softness of the "win" part.
Thoughts?

Current favorites:
Tristram / Benedict / Callum / Hamish
Cordelia / Genevieve / Margaret / Louise

I love Winifred, but I have the same problem as you. I don't care for Freddie at all, personally. Winnie is the better of the two choices, but still not really my cup of tea.
She doesn't have to have a nickname. She could just be Winifred. I'm going to read the below responses to see if anyone had ideas.

Love Winifred. Love Winnie. Love Freda (as in Freda Dudley-Ward, born Winifred). Love Win as a nn too, although more for a boy, as in Winfield or Winston.
Winifred is so wistful and endearing. It's got historic romance all over it. And W names for girls are so rare. I've been crushing on it lately myself. :0)
