Love the name Poppy! It's a fave of mine actually.

Pretty much the only flower name I don't love. It conjure images of fallen soldiers for me. Also, I probably spend too much time with my 3 year old son...but it totally makes me think "Poopy" (*cringes*). And then, it's what my kids' deadbeat grandfather is called (not by them, b/c they have only seen him once, but the other grandchildren referred to him as Poppy). So, the trifecta of bad connotations for me.

To me, Poppy feels like a nickname. I don't really like it regardless, but I could appreciate it more if it were a nickname for something. Penelope? Pepita?

I used to love the name Poppy but I don't anymore. Simon is such a cool name!
