Edgy? Hardly. Unusual for the time and place, yes, but not edgy. It's a stuffy, cartoonishly stuffy, stereotypical British aristocrat name that British aristocrats quit using a couple generations ago.

Oh just cut it out. We know you like the name, you said so. Every time you do this, it makes it obvious that you don't want opinions, you just want your ego stroked.

How's this: Nigel is a really stupid name and the fact that your grandmother called daddy-long-leg spiders Nigel only proves it.
