Theodosia
I've been turning Theodosia in my head for the past couple days. What do you think of it? "What matters most is how well you walk through the fire." -Charles Bukowski

I don't like the sound of the "dos" part... it sounds like "dose" or "dozy" which makes the name sound a bit sleepy and silly. I love Theodora though!

Oy. Cute on a pet, a mouthful on a person.

I love it. Though I'm sure most know that because I've been talking about it for ages XD It's definitely one of my top favorites. I love the namesake of Empress Theodosia, I love that it's got an elegant but playful feel, and I love the nns. It's a win-win all around imo

I always notice "dose ya" or "doze" in it. So, it doesn't appeal to me. It's also a little bit long and fancy seeming for my taste. I prefer Theodora, which I think sounds more grounded and less fanciful.

I love Theodosia, with the nickname Dosia.

I love Theodosia. I tend to like long frilly female names with tomboyish nn's, in this case Theo. It seems like such a huge name but still usable.

I love it. I think it's beautiful. And it has an early American vibe because of Theodosia Burr. Makes me think of high-waisted Greek-style dresses and pinned-up hair encircled with gold headbands (if that's the right word.) But also a little bit tragic because of Theodosia Burr. But still beautiful. The little bit of tragedy doesn't render it unusable.

I think most people would be familiar of the name because of Empress Theodosia though tbh (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Theodora_%28wife_of_Justinian_I%29).

I just googled Theodosia Burr. Very sad.
