I think I like Galileo for a boy better.
I really like Gilead, and it fits the nickname better. I can't get behind Galilee for a boy.
Love love love, on all accounts! I prefer Galilee, but Gilead is really nice too and does lend itself a little easier to nn Gil, I suppose.
I think Galilee is very nice. It's soft and rugged at the same time. Maybe it's because I get a Jesus-in-sandals-by-a-lake vibe.
The nn Gil works fine. I don't really like the sound, but it works for Galilee.
Does it concern you at all that Galilee could feel quite feminine. What with the 'gal' in front and the 'lily' sound at the end?
I prefer Galilee to Gilead.
I'd need some full combos to see which order I like best as either one could work.
BOth names work fine with Caemlyn and Huck.

Gal + lilly = girly sounding name. I knew a girl named Galilee also, but I think it sounds very feminine. Gil out of Galilee does not make sense. Galileo is an improvement, more masculine, and he could be Leo, but Gil is still not a natural nn.
I like Gilead, and think it would be the best option. I love the balm in Gilead reference, and Gil is a much more natural nn. Gilead is unusual, but not too out there, and much more masculine.
Have you considered Gilchrist? I love that name.

It starts with Gal. I don't think that would be much fun for a boy.
Gilead is fine, definitely better.

I think Galilee is better than Gilead. I don't like the nn Gil though. I'd prefer Lee as a nn. As for combos, what about:
Galilee Amos Roland
Galilee Roland Ezra
Galilee Wyatt Roland
Galilee Roland Oscar
Galilee Isaac Roland
Galilee Seth Roland
Galilee Roland Judah
Galilee Darby Roland
Galilee Roland Milo
Galilee Roland Samson
Galilee Roland Zane

I honestly prefer Gilead for a boy, nn Gil, If you like the nickname Gil. I don't care for Galilee nearly as much as a name, although I could see using it for a girl with the nickname Lily as you have mentioned before. Perhaps that's why I can't see it for a boy.
I think it could work, though I'm not fond of nn Gil. I do, however like Gilead better (even with the same NN)- it's less fanciful and show-offy, and it's your maiden name, right? I find Gilead more meaningful, and more "namey" than Galilee, not to mention you have 'gal' right there at the front... I'm not sure how a boy would feel about that

No, my maiden name is Gilliland
Ah, ok. Well either way I like Gilead better because, like I said, it feels more like a legit name than Galilee
It would be a stretch to make Gil a nn of Galilee. For Gilead, it's fine, though I wouldn't like to be Gilead,;that's just me.
A name that's used now and then, where I live, is Gilman;they are nearly all called Gil.

I think Galileo is awesome, and I kinda like Galilee too. But I think it's a little problematic to pronounce. I prefer Gilead.
