It's clunky. Some people find clunky endearing. I want to find it endearing, but I'd never be gutsy enough to like clunky I don't think. I know a Gertrude at my church who goes by Gertie.
Also, my aunt's name is Gertrud (no E) and she's super awesome - even if I don't love her name.Three boys nappin', one mama namenerdin'
