Ida
I've been liking Ida lately. It has that quaint, old-fashioned feel to it as do so many other names that I like (such as Mabel, Alice, Dulcie and Eulalie). What do you think of Ida? Do you have any idea what I should use as a middle name? I'm at a loss! Thanks!

I like Ida and it is very popular in Sweden. Here we pronounce it as "EE-dah". Ida Marie, Ida Maria, Ida Elisabeth, Ida Linnéa, Ida Lovisa, Ida Susanna or Ida Katarina would popular Swedish combinations."But it’s all right now.

I think that Ida will be one of the next "Victorian" names to be rediscovered by a lot of parents in the USA looking for "different but not too different" alternatives for names like Ava and Ada. I'm no good at the "what middle names to use" question, because I strongly believe that children should get middle names that link them to their families or at least to people the parents admire in some way. So what are the names of your child's grandmothers, great-grandmothers, aunts, greataunts, and your own best friends? I'd urge you to use one of those.

Ida Frances is cute as is Ida Lily.Ida Maisie is simply gorgeous! I love Maisie / Maisy. I can't decide which spelling I like more.Ida Lillian is probably my favourite Ida combo at the moment. It's lovely. Thanks for all your great suggestions! I'm sure I'll find more that I like later. :)

I like Ida a lot too, though it's more a nn to me, it'd make a fine fn.
Maybe Ida Amelia
Ida Samantha
Ida Caroline
Ida Liana
Ida June (I like this one best)

I really like Ida Amelia. It's very home-y sounding to me.I like Ida June, too. I've been thinking about June as a name more and more recently. It would make such a refreshing middle name.

I think it's great! Totally due for a revival, and in the same style as other recent comebacks like Lila/Isla, Cora/Nora, etc.Maybe...
Ida Sophie
Ida Caroline
Ida Florence
Ida Miriam
Ida Louisa
Ida Lucinda
Ida JosephineSomething old-fashioned complements it well, I think.

I think Ida and Mabel sound great together as sister names, but I can't imagine them in one combo. They go so wonderfully together that I can only see them being complementary of each other as a sib-set.Thanks for the suggestion, though! I definitely love Mabel. :)
