I love Victoria, it's so regal (for good reason) and pretty.
I am with you on hating Vicky though. I think a lot of kids these days are using their full names rather than nicknames, for example Thomas' are just Thomas and not Tom's, but I would never use a name if I really hated the go-to nickname.
Of course you could try to come up with another nickname you like and offer than as an alternative. I quite like Vika (Vee-KAH) as a nickname for Victoria.
