No. I don't think of it as cutesy at all. Probably the name association thing, I'm sure. I grew up with Lila who was my mothers age, very large, and very bossy:)
However, I do like Leila. Don't ask me why. For some reason it sort of sticks out as a cute name. I doubt I would ever use it, but I like it. Maybe because it sounds like Leilani, which I also love, but definitely would sound too Hawaiian for any baby I would have- most names definitely transcend race/cultures, but I don't think it would work for me.
But back to Lilah. I don't care for Delilah, but I suppose the only way I would think Lilah with the "h" on the end would be to have a name like that and use Lilah for a nickname.
