Paisley
What do you think? Like it, love it, hate it? I do like it and I love the paisley pattern, but I worry sometimes that it's not pretty enough for a name. Thoughts?

HATE. (open only if you won't get super offended)
it's a pattern (oft-considered an ugly one). it's trying too hard. it looks prissy and painful and sounds wimpy.

I absolutely hate it. Paisley is one of the dumbest of the new trendy names.
It's ok. It's just awfully trendy and kinda has a mediocre image for me - like I'd expect to see it on an author of pulp, and not on an author of award winning novels. It's sort of like Whitney, Peyton, Presley, London, and Hayley... coming out of obscurity, and soon quickly dropping back into it. I would think it was nice enough as a woman's name, but I wouldn't want to be named Paisley myself.
Love it!! Totally:) it's very adorable...I can see it on a little girl, easily on a teen, yet I do feel it transitions nicely to a young woman...I think it's a more modern name, but still...I love it , I considered it myself...alas...four boys, no chance to ever get serious about it!
I hate it with more passion than is really necessary ;-) I think it's silly, and it's getting a lot of use in my area by some pretty foolish people, which does make sense to me, but feeds into my low opinion of the name. It's best left to fabric. You can do much better =)

Not really wanting to use it, was just after opinions on it anyway.
I see Paisley sounding really "American". I think your other girl names are much prettier and its a bit clunky for me.
I tend to agree on the "American" thing. I prefer my other names too and I wouldn't ever use it for a DD of mine, but was after some opinions anyway.
No. I also love the paisley pattern, but I don't think it should ever be given to a girl as a name. I don't like how it sounds.
I hate it. It sounds so weak and I think of parsley.
I think it's lame and it doesn't even sound attractive. Paisley, Plaid, Check, Polka Dot. Just not a good name.
