Coralina?
What do you think of Coralina with the nickname Cora? Is Cora on its own better?

I prefer Coraline. The 'a' at the end I find weird.

Is it cor-uh-LEE-na or cor-uh-LIE-na?Either way, it's too elaborate for me. I prefer Cora.

I love Cora on its own; sweetness on a girl and elegant simplicity on a woman. I've always felt it as a warm, "from the heart" kind of name.Aside from Coralina likely being confused with Carolina, "coral" is what pops out at me, placing it in the ocean where it's cold. Feels at odds, to me, with my perception of Cora. Just my two cents; YMMV.I do prefer Coralina to Coraline; can't shake the creepy, twisted vibe from the latter.

Something's not quite right with Coralina imo. Coraline sounds like a name, but Coralina sounds like a smush. Maybe I'm just used to Coraline from the movie/ book, but I don't know why I have such differing opinions on the names. Caroline/ Carolina doesn't have that problem. Cora is fine on its own.

I don't know why Cora has been getting so much attention lately. Downton Abbey? I'm not sure. Cora isn't good by itself, Coraline is ugly and too elaborate, Coralina is like the frilly cousin who wears dresses too small and constantly sulks for being the perpetual unfavorite. Or she's a pony on a child's show.

Maybe its just me bringing it up continually in various forms. :)

If it helps, my love for the name Cora comes from The Last of the Mohicans which I saw long, long ago. But, maybe others have an interest in it after Downton Abbey. I wouldn't be surprised.

Coralina is alright, but just Cora is so much nicer to me.

I like the nickname Cora, personally I think it would fit better with the name Coraline though.

I think it's very pretty! Very. In fact I might steal that for my PNL.Cora is nice, but I'm not awe-struck by it. I like Coral better I think.
